Following a lengthy nationwide search, People First FCU is pleased to introduce Howard (Howie) Meller as its third President/CEO. Howie has an extensive background in the financial services industry, serving in executive roles at prominent institutions in PA, NY, NJ and VA. Most recently, he was President/CEO at GHS Federal Credit Union. Howie has an MBA in Finance from St. John’s University and a BA in Economics from SUNY Binghamton.
Howie is looking forward to leading People First FCU into a new chapter of extraordinary member service and organizational growth. Howie, his wife and two daughters are relocating to the Lehigh Valley and are eager to become part of the community. With a strong history of volunteer board service, Howie is looking to strengthen People First’s community involvement. When asked about joining the team at People First Howie said, “I am honored the Board has provided me the opportunity to fill such a crucial role at the credit union. I admire People First, and its strong foundation and am confident that I will be able to build on that.”
Howie is committed to ensuring that People First provides the best products and services of any financial institution in the Lehigh Valley. Howie believes that members should be able to be served where and when they want. People First will be enhancing electronic delivery channels to provide optimum service.
