Youth First Program
Children start retaining information at a very young age, which is why it’s crucial to start molding positive financial behaviors. Our Youth First program will guide your child on a journey through the different stages of their financial life.
April is National Credit Union Youth Month!
Providing financial education embodies our movement’s "people helping people" philosophy. The theme for this year’s Youth Month is “Be a Credit Union Saver and Your Savings Will Never Go Extinct.” Together, we’re encouraging our youngest members to open their own savings account (with a parent or guardian’s help, of course), begin a habit of putting money into that account regularly, and learn how compound interest helps their account to grow.

Pennsylvania Uniform Transfer to Minors Act (PUTMA) Accounts
PUTMA accounts are available for our young savers to start with a savings account that only the Custodian (i.e. parent, grandparent, interested persons) can conduct financial transactions. The funds in the account are used only for the benefit of the Minor without tax liability. PUTMA accounts are opened with the child's social security number and personal information. Primary Share & Share Draft Accounts are also available with a joint owner (age restrictions apply). These accounts are great for children who are starting to work and need an account for direct deposit or access to a Visa Debit Card*.
